MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND REPLACEMENT OF SECTIONS OF THE METAL STRUCTURES OF THE TWO ENTRANCES, THE WALL OF NATIONS, AND THE OAKA AGORA (CONTRACTOR: TOMH ABETE)

Painting and restoration work of 2.400.000 kg of metal structures at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens (O.A.K.A.), and in particular the Calatrava emblematic canopies.

-Dismantling of metal sections by IRATA certified rope access technicians using specialized means of access and protection.
-Transportation and cleaning of the elements with water jetting (Wa2) and sandblasting (Sa2.5), for the complete removal of old coatings and rust.
-Detailed inspection to identify damage or local corrosion and immediate restoration.
-Application of an anti-rust primer and two successive layers of paint, with strictly defined coating thickness.

The project is being implemented with the aim of ensuring the safety and renovation of the Olympic Complex, with funding from the Public Investment Program.
